Inventory Associate (Temporary)

Overview

Quilter labs is looking for an Inventory Associate on a temporary basis. This position includes duties and responsibilities for Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control and General Maintenance.

 

This shift would be 6AM to 2:30PM

Responsibilities

Manufacturing:

  • Utilizes assembly aids and follows procedures in order to manufacture Quilter amplifiers.
  • Tests and packages amplifiers.
  • Adheres to quality control processes.

Receiving:

  • Unpacks and examines all inbound shipments. Verify accuracy and all required documentation is included with receipt. Tracks and records all information using company methodology and reporting and with proper notifications if any receiving discrepancies are found.
  • Enters receipts using Fishbowl inventory computer software.
  • Routes material to the proper departments and/or recipient as needed by material type and paperwork.

Shipping:

  • Matches all outbound shipments accurately to order requirements.
  • Packages all shipments with individual component wrapping and labeling accurately and appropriately with shipment packaging all using company standards for methods and materials and to meet customer and international and domestic shipping requirements .
  • Determines and creates best method of shipments utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and carriers and to meet company and customer requirements for domestic and international shipments. Best method is defined as least cost and best timing to achieve deadlines.
  • Processes all paperwork for domestic and international shipments
  • Make occasional pickups and deliveries to suppliers and dealers (Must have valid driver’s license)

Inventory Control:

  • Accurately and properly route material to correct locations as per company systems for Work In Process (WIP), Quality Control (QC) and Inventory Control
  • Integrate new inventory accurately, with proper individual part wrapping and labeling as needed into company inventory locations
  • Perform inventory counts as needed under direction of office management
  • Perform inventory stock pulls for sales orders
  • Stage

Secondary Responsibility:

  • General Shop and Office Maintenance.

Qualifications

  • This position requires independent decision making and the ability to be self sufficient and to work without constant supervision.
  • Computer proficiency with a windows based operating system is required.
  • Utilization of MS Word and Excel software for advising tracking and statusing information is likely.
  • It is required to have a working knowledge and understanding of shipping documentation for Domestic and International Freight.
  • This position requires understanding of online shipping software for Fed Ex and possibly others.
  • The successful candidate will be physically able to lift up to 50lb. packages on a rare but periodic basis.
  • Fork Lift training is preferred.
