Hotrod Austin Tripp began playing the pedal steel at age 13. Learning early on from mentors such as Bill Ferguson, Homer Franks and Cowboy Eddie Long. After graduating high school in 2009, Hotrod began playing on the road for a select number of shows with Easton Corbin. Since then, he has shared the stage with Jake Owen, Colt Ford, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton. Hotrod currently records and tours with country artist Cody Jinks. Hotrod can be seen playing his Quilter Steelaire Combo along with his beloved Mullen G2.
