Thomas Griggs is an up and coming guitarist from Tampa, Florida. He's experienced in all ranges of guitar and specializes in jazz, jazz fusion, modern music, and classical. He's a graduate and recipient of the Senior Music Technology/Composition and Service Award at the University of Tampa with his Bachelor of Arts in music focused on Classical Guitar. He is also an Alumni of Berklee College of Music where he studied advanced harmony and guitar techniques from the legendary Mick Goodrick, Tim Miller, Jim Kelly, Dave Santoro, and Kim Perlak. He also received the prestigious Performance Division of the Guitar Department award in 2014 from Berklee. From there Griggs went on to be a performing artist and masterclass teacher at the International Musicians Summit in the summer of 2016. His instagram following is growing rapidly due to his videos of advanced use of harmony and guitar techniques like arpeggio design and hybrid picking. From his videos he has gained notoriety from players like Tosin Abasi, Dweezil Zappa, Jeff Loomis, Aaron Marshall (Intervals), Plini, Jason Richardson etc. In the winter of 2018 he joined Intervals as a sub guitarist for the last leg of the North American headlining tour. And he is currently the rhythm guitarist on the Contortionist's Reimagined Tour for Intervals as the opening act. While at home he is an avid gigging artist in the Tampa area, as well as teacher to many in the Bay Area as well as across the world via Skype.
