Valerio Fiorini

Born in Rome (Italy) in a family of musicians, Valerio began to play drums at the age of seven. When he was ten years old he picked up his first guitar, which marked the beginning of a life-long love relationship with the instrument. The lure of music was always too powerful, leading Valerio to study with some of the best teachers and performers in Europe and Australia. He has attended master-classes with internationally renowned musicians such as Scott Henderson, Russell Ferrante, Frank Gambale, Mike Stern and Allan Holdsworth, as well as performing with countless players from all parts of the world. Valerio holds a degree in Jazz Performance from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and a diploma in guitar and music theory from the "Ladybird" school of Music in Rome.

Today he performs in a multitude of music ensembles in Australia, either as session musician and band leader. He also works as an arranger, composer, music director and drummer/percussionist. Leader of the modern jazz/fusion band "ANTIUM" alongside some of Australia' finest musicians. Founder and co-leader of neo-soul/jazz/fusion band "Soulmination" together with award winning vocalist Roxanne Myles.
