Music for a lifetime! We offer private and group lessons all ages, all levels. piano, brass, woodwinds, strings, guitar, voice and percussion as well as a chamber music program.

Pritchard Music Academy is located in the Kentlands downtown in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We offer musical instruction for all instruments, ages, and experience levels.

Academy Philosophy:
Music lessons are so much more than music. We believe that playing music is not simply hitting the right key, pushing the right valve or bowing the correct string. Our instructional programs integrate hands-on lessons and practice routines with music appreciation and music theory. Our students learn how to play an instrument, how to practice and how to take what they have learned and apply it in their daily lives. Our goal is to create an environment that encourages independent thinking, self-discipline, positive self-esteem, and a lifelong love of music. We are committed to helping children and adults build a solid foundation in Music for a Lifetime.

History

Established in 2009

Becky and Joe Pritchard opened Pritchard Music Academy in 2009 to help children and adults in their community build a solid foundation in Music for a Lifetime. In addition to their students' frequent area performances, the Pritchards have also founded The Main Street Music Festival, a recurring summer series of eight professional performances by regional and national talent that are free and open to the public.
