The Aviator Cub represents our most advanced single channel combo amplifier. After careful sourcing and testing, we packed in three historical treasures: a '60 Tweed, a '62 Blonde, and a '65 Blackface. Unleashing them is as easy as plugging into the era you want to play in. Built for speed, the Aviator Cub is as powerful as it is lightweight and economical.
Fantastic Little Amp! Great addition to the Quilter Lineup! It has such a great natural breakup when you push the gain and really does have the sounds of the amps on its panel. I can't wait to gig with the Cub as soon as I can.
I bought this puppy on a whim through Musician's Friend on a discount. It delivered as promised. Out of the box is sounded good, but after some breakin time it sounded gooder! My first introduction to Quilter. I love the weight and power and tones. The limiter and gain and eq and 3 input options give lots of delicious options. You have to set the gain quite a way up to get it to kick in, but it is a sweet natural gain. Using additional pedals for greater gain and effects is a breeze and sounds awesome. I also bought a splitter cable so I can plug into any two of the inputs at once and get some more tonal options. I was so pleased with it I ended up getting a TB202HD as well for another purpose..... see that review. But I keep coming back to the CUB. A delightful little combo that tweaks to your heart's content. Plus it sounds great at bedroom volumes and if I have to take it out, it is so light that even me, an old man, has very little trouble picking it up and moving it. I ended up selling my Fender Blues Deluxe - way toooooooo heavy for me. It was a great amp, but the sweet spot was way too loud for bedroom levels. The CUB, on the other hand, is perfect for many situations I need it for. Thanks Quilter! (Now I see there is a UK version...... tempting.....)
